A steel plate connection joins structural members through a designed arrangement of plates, bolts and/or welds. From beam end plates and column splice plates to bracing gussets and column base plates, each component is detailed for its intended position within the steel structure.
ZSJH Steel provides drawing-based fabrication for contractors, steel fabricators and project procurement teams. Plate profiles, thicknesses, hole layouts and welded details can be coordinated with the surrounding steelwork to support fit-up and site assembly.
Components can be supplied as individual plates or incorporated into fabricated assemblies, depending on the agreed scope. Material selection, connection capacity and installation requirements remain subject to the approved project design.
Plate dimensions, edge profiles, hole diameters and bolt spacing are manufactured according to approved fabrication drawings.
Connection plates can be prepared for site bolting, shop welding or a combination of both, as specified by the connection designer.
Cutting, drilling, edge preparation and welding requirements are reviewed together to help maintain component compatibility and reduce avoidable fit-up work.
Uncoated, shop-primed, painted or hot-dip galvanized finishes may be specified according to the environment and project requirements. Finish compatibility with bolts, welds and connection contact surfaces must be confirmed before production.
Part marking, quantity checks and packing arrangements can be coordinated with the project schedule to simplify receiving and sorting on site.

Inspection can include material identification, plate dimensions, thickness, flatness, hole position, edge condition and weld quality where applicable. Coating checks and additional testing are defined in the agreed inspection plan. Documentation requirements should be specified when requesting a quotation.
