Stair System Components

Structural Stringers

Heavy-duty steel plate or channel stringers transfer stair loads to the supporting platform, foundation or building structure.

Stair Treads

Treads can be manufactured from serrated grating, standard grating, checker plate or perforated steel plate. Open grating is particularly suitable for outdoor and wet areas because it allows water, dust and small debris to pass through.

Landings and Platforms

Intermediate and upper platforms are customized according to access direction, available space and equipment layout. Toe plates can be added around exposed platform edges.

Handrails and Guardrails

Continuous handrails and guardrails can be fabricated from round pipe or hollow structural sections. Horizontal rails or vertical balusters are available.

Supporting Structure

Depending on the site conditions, the staircase may be supported by steel columns, wall brackets, knee braces, cross bracing or an independent stair tower.

Connection System

Bolted connections allow large stair structures to be divided into transportable modules. Welded connections can also be used where required by the project.
