Safety warning signs must be posted at all major construction sections, operation points and hazardous areas for steel structure hoisting. Sufficient lighting shall be equipped for night construction. All power lines shall be erected and managed by professional electricians, with red warning lights installed as required and emergency lighting with self-contained power supply provided.
For winter construction, implement seasonal safety protection measures strictly and keep in close contact with meteorological departments. During rainy season construction, assign dedicated staff to release weather forecasts and promptly notify all construction personnel. Stock up adequate standby materials such as water pumps, iron wires, tarpaulins and plastic films for risk prevention.
All newly arrived mechanical equipment shall be inspected, appraised and trial-run in accordance with relevant technical regulations before put into use, and can only be operated after passing acceptance. The traveling roads for large cranes shall be solid and reliable. The construction site shall be leveled and reinforced to meet the requirements of foundation bearing capacity.
Demarcate hazardous areas for hoisting operations, post prominent safety signs and cordon off the hoisting zones. Assign dedicated guards to prevent unauthorized personnel from entering the hazardous areas.
Appoint experienced signal commanders and riggers for on-site hoisting work. All operators shall undergo physical examination prior to work; personnel suffering from diseases unfit for working at height are prohibited from high-altitude operations. All operators must hold valid work certificates, and hoisting hook operators shall be assigned on a relatively fixed basis.
Assemble steel components on the ground whenever possible. Build assembly platforms with sufficient strength, and take reliable anti-toppling measures for assembled components. For high-altitude work involving electric welding, high-strength bolt connection and other procedures, edge protection and reliable safety facilities must be installed.
Throwing any objects from heights is strictly prohibited. Use ropes to transfer items. Screws, nuts, hand tools, welding rods, cutting scraps and other small articles for high-altitude work shall be properly stored in intact tool bags which shall be firmly fastened to prevent falling objects from causing casualties on the ground.
Build special wind shields for on-site welding work, and use spark collectors to contain welding sparks so as to avoid fire hazards and scald accidents.
Remove or cover and isolate flammable and explosive materials around welding operation areas. Stop outdoor welding work in rainy weather. The shell of welding machines shall be reliably grounded. Power connection and disconnection shall be performed by professional electricians, with independent switches installed in rainproof switch boxes.
Cross operations shall be avoided as far as possible during steel structure construction. If cross operations are inevitable, do not arrange work along the same vertical line; otherwise, install protective layers between working levels.
